FAQ

Do I need to build the Gutenberg blocks?

No. The plugin ships compiled editor assets. A normal WordPress installation does not require npm or a build step.

Where are prayer requests stored?

Intercessor stores its data in six dedicated WordPress database tables using the site's database prefix. The optional external integration is Google reCAPTCHA.

Can visitors submit without logging in?

Yes, by default. Enable Require Login to Submit if submissions should be restricted to authenticated users.

What is anonymous vs. private?

Anonymous requests can still be publicly displayed while hiding the requester's identity. Private requests are not publicly displayed.

Does the profanity filter block requests?

No. Matching requests are submitted but forced to Pending and flagged for moderator review.

Can I export before uninstalling?

Yes. Use Intercessor → Tools to export data before deleting the plugin. If Delete All Data on Uninstall is enabled, uninstalling permanently removes the plugin's stored data.

Is Google reCAPTCHA required?

No. reCAPTCHA is optional and can be configured when you want additional anti-spam protection. See External Services.

What should I do with CSV exports?

Treat them as sensitive administrative data. See Security & Privacy.
