External Services

Intercessor is primarily a WordPress-local plugin. Its documented optional external integration is Google reCAPTCHA.

Google reCAPTCHA

Intercessor supports:

  • reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox
  • reCAPTCHA v3 Invisible / score-based

If reCAPTCHA is enabled, configure the site key and secret key in Intercessor → Settings → reCAPTCHA. For v3, also configure the score threshold.

The protection can be enabled for the relevant Intercessor pages.

Privacy considerations

Because reCAPTCHA is an external service, review Google's current service and privacy documentation and make sure your site's privacy notices and consent configuration are appropriate for your jurisdiction and implementation.

Email delivery

Intercessor uses WordPress wp_mail() for notifications. wp_mail() is the WordPress mail API, not a separate Intercessor cloud service. Actual delivery may be handled by your web host, an SMTP plugin, or a transactional email provider.

TIP

If you are diagnosing notification failures, first verify whether WordPress can successfully send any email.
