Moderation

Intercessor provides a moderation workflow designed to keep unreviewed requests out of the public Prayer Wall when automatic approval is disabled.

Statuses

The available request statuses are:

  • Pending
  • Approved
  • Rejected
  • Archived
  • Private

Reviewing a request

From Intercessor → Prayer Requests, moderators can review submitted requests and change their status. The request detail view also provides access to request information and notes.

Bulk actions

Use the list-table selection controls to process multiple requests at once. Bulk processing is useful for routine approval, rejection, or archival work.

Moderator notes

Notes can be attached to a request for internal communication. A note can be private; private notes are not intended for public display.

Status history

Status changes are recorded in the prayer history data. This provides an audit trail containing the status transition and its associated actor/time information.

Automatic approval

If Auto-Approve Requests is enabled, ordinary submissions start as Approved. The profanity filter can still force a matching request to Pending for review.

TIP

For churches that want a human review before publication, leave Auto-Approve Requests disabled and work from the Pending queue.
